The family and friends of deceased Alberto R. Servin washed cars all day Sunday to raise funds to pay for a proper funeral viewing {10-4pm }-- which is scheduled for August 28th at the Webb-Sanders Funeral Home Chapel in Lindsay. The funeral service will be held on Friday, August 29th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 6pm. – also in Lindsay.
Alberto R. Servin who passed away after an auto accident on August 21st 2008, will be missed by his whole family, his brother said. “He was a happy and friendly person and always very social.”
Teresa Alvarado, who was at the car wash event, shared with the Post how Alberto passed away. “From what we understand, Alberto was riding with his friends back from Coffee Camp and somehow their car drifted off the road at night and into a nearby canal. Four of his friends made it out but he stayed behind with the driver to wait for rescuers. By the time they got there it was too late for Alberto. He was only 17 years old and a senior at Lindsay High School.”
Since this was a fund raiser the Post asked how much they needed to cover the expenses and they said somewhere in the neighborhood of $6,000 thousand dollars.
