Being at the right place at the right time, most will tell you, is a very simple discription of the word "Luck", I call it being lead by the LORD. Any-whoo, today the Post was led by the Spirit as we were on our way to do another story and came across the tail end of a crime in progress.
The Fresno County Sheriff had arrived about 30 seconds earlier and surrounded the outside of a light-tan house located in the barrio {West-Side} section of Eveningglow street. Two Reedley Police cruisers rolled up moments later and the hunt was on.
Local neighbors stood outside talking with the sheriff's as two county cops called for the suspects to come out. As the two officers ran to the back {north} of the home a young man, approximately 5'10" in height and about 180 lbs walked out of the front door ... acting like he had just woke up.
At that moment, the Post jumped out of the vehicle - took this picture - and jestered to the police on the east side of the house that their suspect was outside, in the front yard and walking over to the next door neighbors, who appearantly had no concern or fear of this suspect.
Neighbors across the street told the Post that this young man and his brother basically took over this house which belonged to their grandmother. "She had moved to Fresno ... to get away from these two."
After the second suspect came out, the cops went inside to do a search and located a weapon. Both were cuffed-up and taken down-town.
Just as interesting, the Post observed the behavior of the neighbors and lookie-loo's who were walking or driving by. One little drive-by caught our attention because they drove by the scene more that twice and the four occupants appeared obviously concerned - so the Post took their picture as well and handed it over to the authorities.
And then we went a little further down Eveningglow street to cover our original story.
No one got hurt, the cruisers and helocopters left as did we.
