On December 17, 2008, at approximately 12:20 p.m., Detective Rick Carrillo from the Porterville Police Department’s General Investigations Unit arrested Jacqueline Hurtado in the 900 block of N. Cottage.
Ms. Hurtado had been identified as a suspect in fraudulently accessing the checking account of a 51 year old female Porterville Resident.
The 51 year old victim had reported that her checking account had been fraudulently accessed to pay a utility bill for unknown persons in the amount of $333.53. Investigation revealed that the sole person responsible for this criminal act was Ms. Hurtado.
Ms. Hurtado had been previously arrested on December 8, 2008, for the fraudulent use of an access card belonging to a fifty year old female resident. In this case Ms. Hurtado was identified as being responsible for making in excess of $6,600 in fraudulent credit card charges.
Ms. Hurtado was booked with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department.
