On December 17, 2008, at approximately 1:00 p.m., detectives with the Porterville Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit (S.I.U.) conducted a search of a residence located in the 100 block of East Cleveland after receiving information of illegal narcotic sales.
During the search, investigators located approximately 568 grams of suspected marijuana packaged for sale. The total weight of the suspected marijuana had an estimated street value of approximately $2,000.
Investigators also located digital scales, packaging material, and other items associated with the sales of marijuana. Investigators also seized approximately $2,100 in U.S. Currency believed to be illegal proceeds from the sales of marijuana.
Adam Mitchell was arrested for possession of marijuana for sale, maintaining a residence where an illegal substance is being sold, and possession of narcotic paraphernalia.
Adam Mitchell was booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department and is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bail.
