On December 12, 2008, at approximately 4:30 p.m., detectives with the Porterville Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit (S.I.U.) conducted a narcotic parole search in the 100 block of Olive Terrace in the City of Porterville.
During the search, investigators located approximately 5 grams of suspected crystal methamphetamine, vicodin pills packaged for sale, several scales, packaging material, methamphetamine pipes, hypodermic syringes and other items associated with the sales and trafficking of controlled substances. All the subjects arrested were also suspected of being members of a criminal street gang.
Juan Malacara was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and vicodin for sale, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic syringes and maintaining a residence where a controlled substance is being sold. Juan was also on active State Parole. Juan Malacara was booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department and is being held without bail.
Luis Malacara Jr. was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and vicodin for sale, possession of narcotic paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic syringes and maintaining a residence where a controlled substance is being sold. Luis Malacara was booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department and is being held in lieu of a $30,000 bail.
Danny Mendoza was arrested for an outstanding misdemeanor warrant. Danny Mendoza was booked and later cited with a promise to appear.
