Since October of 2008 Detective Rick Carrillo of the Porterville Police Department’s General Investigations Unit has been investigating numerous thefts at multiple Target stores in Tulare County.
Through the course of the investigation Brian Herrera, a 28 year old male Porterville resident, was identified as a suspect.
On December 9, 2008, at approximately 6:15 p.m, Mr. Herrera was arrested without incident and booked with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department on charges of burglary as a result of this investigation.
The case has been submitted to the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office for review and charges are expected to be filed.
The total estimated loss to Target is in excess of $800.00.
