Officer Cortez contacted Roque Bedolla and Alex Cervantes in the area of Grand Avenue and Prospect Street while investigating a robbery alarm call at a nearby business.

During the course of her investigation she determined the subjects were not involved in the alarm call, however they were found to be in possession of stolen merchandise from Mervyn’s.

Mervyn’s was contacted and confirmed that both suspects had just been inside the store and stole the items of clothing they were found in possession of. Both suspects were arrested for commercial burglary and booked into the Tulare County Jail.

The property, valued at about $200, was returned to Mervyn’s.
