On November 9, 2008 at approximately 4:00 a.m. Officer Ward was patrolling in the area of Morton Avenue and Lotas Street within the City of Porterville.
Officer Ward saw what appeared to be a traffic collision nearby. A vehicle was stopped leaving the scene.
All of the above subjects were in the vehicle that was stopped. Soon thereafter, three confidential victims were located nearby.
All of the victims had sustained injuries consistent with blunt force trauma. None of the injuries sustained, were life threatening.
An investigation into the incident revealed the above subjects had assaulted the victims with blunt objects and left the scene. Additionally, the above subjects were wearing attire consistent with membership in a criminal street gang.
All of the above subjects were arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon and participating in a criminal street gang. All of the subjects were booked into Tulare County detention facilites.
