On November 2, 2008, officers from the Porterville Police Department arrested Bernardo Flores for child molestation and resisting arrest.
At approximately 12:26 a.m. citizens reported witnessing Mr. Bernardo Flores molesting a four year old female in a parked vehicle. Mr. Flores was confronted by these citizens and he fled the area on foot.
Despite the efforts of citizens to apprehend Mr. Flores he was able to elude their capture. The Porterville Police Department was then contacted and several officers immediately responded to the area.
As officers were arriving in the area they observed Mr. Flores and attempted to apprehend him. Mr. Flores again fled on foot in an attempt to elude apprehension. Through a coordinated effort amongst responding patrol officers Mr. Flores was apprehended and taken into custody.
Mr. Flores was booked with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office on charges of child molestation. The case is being investigated by the Porterville Police Department’s General Investigations Unit.
