On October 20, Officers responded to a report of gang activity in the area of 109 N. “E” Street. It was reported that (3) male juveniles had made threats to shoot one of the victims.
Upon arrival, Officer Martinez contacted another victim who reported he was walking home from the store when he was approached by 3-5 subjects.
The subjects asked the victim if he was a gang member. The victim attempted to walk away from the suspects; however, one of them punched the victim in the face causing a laceration on his right eyelid.
As one of the suspects was assaulting the victim, the others were stealing his property. The suspects then fled the area. As Officers were checking the area for the suspects, Officer Maniss located them in the area of Olive Avenue and “G” Street.
They were in possession of gang paraphernalia and the victim’s stolen property.
All three suspects were determined to be juveniles and were booked at the Tulare County Juvenile Detention Facility for Robbery, Possession of Stolen Property, Assault, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony, and a Gang Enhancement.
