On October 11, 2008 at approximately 7:51 a.m. officers and paramedics responded to a confidential address in Porterville regarding a call of a child not breathing.
Paramedics arrived and began emergency life saving treatment on the child, who was transported to Sierra View District Hospital.
Hospital staff continued life saving efforts but they were unable to revive the child.
The child suffered from serious pre-existing medical conditions.
Detective R. Carrillo responded to the scene to continue the investigation.
No signs of foul play were noted. Cause of death pending medical examination.
