On Tuesday, October 7, 2008, at 1:00 a.m., Police Officer E. Martinez was patrolling the 400 block of West Grand Avenue.
As Officer Martinez was patrolling the area, he observed a subject on a bicycle violating the vehicle code. Officer Martinez contacted the subject who was identified as Israel Cantu.
During the contact, Officer Martinez discovered that Cantu was in possession of a small baggie of suspected methamphetamine.
Cantu was also determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
Cantu was arrested for possession of a controlled substance as well as being under the Influence of a controlled substance.
He was booked at The Tulare County Sheriff’s Porterville Substation.
