Assault with a Deadly Weapon on West Putnam

On October 2, 2008, at approximately 11:00 p.m., officers with the Porterville Police Department responded to 1700 block of West Putnam Avenue for an assault.

After the officers arrived they located the victim later identified as Paul Correles laying face down in front of the location unconscious. Mr. Correles was transported to Sierra View District Hospital with injuries to the face and head. Mr. Correles was listed in stable condition.

Detectives were called to assist in the investigation and learned that Paul Correles had been in a verbal argument with Adam Ratsakhy, Tongtae Ratsakhy and an unknown third suspect. During the argument the three suspects began to punch and kick the victim.

Mr. Corrles was also struck with an unknown blunt object causing the injuries to his head.

Investigators arrested Adam and Tongtae Ratsakhy for assault with a deadly weapon. A third suspect is still being sought. Both suspects were booked at the Tulare County Jail and are being held in lieu of $50,000 bail. Investigating Detective Detective Supervisor Detective Mark Lightfoot Sergeant Castellow
