On September 25, 2008 at approximately 8:00 a.m., detectives with the Tulare Regional Auto Theft Taskforce (T-RATT) assisted by the Porterville Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit (SIU) served a search warrant in the 20000 Block of West Thurman Avenue.
Detectives conducted a search of the residence and located evidence linking suspect Jordan Wheeler to .grand theft auto. Detectives also found Wheeler in possession of a sawed off shotgun, ammunition, marijuana and a scale.
Jordan Wheeler was arrested at the scene and booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department on two counts of grand theft auto, being a convicted felon in possession of a loaded firearm and ammunition, possession for sales of suspected marijuana and conspiracy.
Jordan Wheeler is being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
The investigation is on going by the Tulare Regional Auto theft Taskforce.
