On September 23, 2008 at approximately 9:20 p.m., Officer Jordan was dispatched to the 1600 block of West Pioneer Avenue regarding the possible location of a stolen Chevy Tahoe along with a second involved vehicle.
The stolen vehicle was not located but the second vehicle was observed driving in the area and stopped.
The driver, Tyson Wheeler, was contacted and arrested. Burglary tools were located in Mr. Wheeler’s vehicle. Information was obtained during the investigation indicating the possible identity of the other suspect.
The stolen vehicle is still outstanding but additional arrest(s) are expected.
Mr. Wheeler was booked into the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department - Porterville Substation on charges of Possession of Stolen Property, Conspiracy to Possess Stolen Property and Possession of Burglary Tools.
