On September 23, 2008 at approximately 9:05 p.m. Officer Sutherland responded to a confidential address in Porterville regarding a violation of a Domestic Violence Protective Order.
During the investigation it was determined that Joseph Rivera was wanted for a previous violation of the Protective Order and was continuing in a course of conduct that caused the victim to be in fear for her safety, and constituted Stalking.
Mr. Rivera was located nearby and was also determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance.
Mr. Rivera was placed under arrest for the listed charges.
Mr. Rivera was transported to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department, Sub-Station for housing on charges of violating a Domestic Violence Protective Order, Stalking and Being under the Influence of a Controlled Substance.
