On September 19, 2008, at approximately 12:17 p.m., Officers responded to Mervyn’s, regarding a theft, which had just occurred.
Responding Officers were provided with a description of the suspect, Jeremy Fowler, and located Fowler riding his bicycle in the area of Morton Avenue and Indiana Street.
Fowler had attempted to discard the stolen property only a short time earlier, and when Officers attempted contact with him, he fled from them on his bicycle but was apprehended a short time later in the area of Thurman Avenue and Cottage Street.
Fowler was taken into custody without further incident. He was found to be on active State Parole and all property related to the occurrence was recovered and returned to the business.
Fowler was later booked into the custody of the Tulare County Sheriffs Department, Porterville Substation.
