On September 12, 2008 at approximately 3:04 a.m. Officer Hatch responded to a confidential address in Porterville regarding domestic violence.
During the investigation it was determined that Jesus Romero struck and kicked his girlfriend numerous times during an argument, causing bruising to her face and body.
Mr. Romero also used a large kitchen knife and threatened to kill her.
At one point Mr. Romero left the room and the victim was able to get away and go to a friend’s house, where the police were called.
Officer Hatch located Mr. Romero and placed him under arrest. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment of her injuries.
Mr. Romero was transported to the TCSO Porterville Sub-Station for housing on charges of Domestic Battery, and Terrorist Threats.
