Child Endangerment, Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance

On Saturday, September 6, 2008, at 6:15 A.M., Officers were dispatched to a report of a possible burglary in progress.
Upon arrival, it was determined that the reporting party, Patricia Morreale, was hallucinating and under the influence of a controlled substance.
During the investigation, officers located two children ages 8 and 10, who were malnourished and in unhealthy surroundings.
Patricia Morreale was taken into custody and the children were released to the custody of their father. Morreale was charged with being under the influence of a controlled substance and child endangerment.
She was booked at Bob Wiley Detention Facility.
