On August 28, 2008, a confidential victim reported to the Porterville Police Department she had been sexually assaulted while at a residential party in Porterville. Investigation identified the suspect as Victor Manuel Mendoza.
Mr. Mendoza was also found to have two warrants for his arrest. One warrant was for felony charges of domestic violence and the other warrant was for misdemeanor drug charges.
On September 1, 2008, detectives from the Porterville Police Department’s General Investigations Unit along with officers from the Patrol Division responded to Mr. Mendoza’s residence.
Mr. Mendoza was located inside the residence and he was taken into custody without incident.
Mr. Mendoza was subsequently booked with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department.
The investigation into this matter is continuing.
