Officer Bray responded to a call for service regarding the theft of a money order. It was determined that the victim was a dependant adult due to pre-existing, on-going medical issues.
The suspect, Jonee Williams, stole a money order from the victim’s residence. The money order was cashed at Ace Check Cashing in the amount of $600.00.
On August 30, 2008, Officer Bray conducted further investigation into this report from the previous day. Officer Bray responded to 66 S. Kessing Street in an attempt to contact the suspect, Jonee Williams.
Upon arrival, Williams was determined to be under the influence of a controlled substance. She further admitted to stealing and cashing the money order.
Officer Bray recovered $200.00 of the stolen money, which was returned to the victim.
Williams was booked at Bob Wiley Detention Facility regarding charges of Dependant Adult Abuse, Grand Theft, Burglary, Forgery, and being Under the Influence of a Controlled Substance.
