by Sgt. Larry M. Rodriguiz - Porterville Police Dept :

On August 19, 2008 at approximately 3:50 P.M. Officers were dispatched to the 300 Block of North ‘E’ Street regarding a male subject striking a female. Witnesses related both the male and female got into a silver colored vehicle and drove from the scene.

Officer M. Benas conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description at Morton and ‘E’ Street. The driver, Tommy De Jesus and the female Victim were contacted.

After speaking with the Victim she related De Jesus had assaulted her and while trying to get away she injured her ankle. De Jesus was taken into custody for Domestic Violence and was later determined to have a misdemeanor warrant as well.

The Victim was transported to Sierra View District Hospital for her injuries. The Victim was later found to have a Felony warrant for her arrest under an alias.

Officers responded to the hospital to serve the warrant, however, the Victim fled from the emergency room before receiving any treatment and was not located.
