On August 18 at approximately 12:03 a.m., Officer Martinez was dispatched to the area of Prospect and Henderson regarding a subject spray painting graffiti at Apple Annie’s and Payless Shoe Source.
The suspect, identified as 15 year old male juvenile, was located moments later at Long’s Drugs and detained as he tried to discard a can of spray paint.
Further investigation revealed the suspect used spray paint to mark a sign at Apple Annie’s, the west wall of Payless Shoe Source, a brick wall on the south side of the County Government Plaza and a sea train in a dirt lot at Grand / Douglas.
The graffiti was also the same type and color used during a previous graffiti incident that occurred in the 900 block of west Grand avenue which was reported on 08-16-08. The total damage was estimated at $900.
The suspect was arrested and booked at Juvenile Hall.
