On August 14, 2008 at approximately 1:57 a.m. Officer Rivera located a stolen vehicle traveling east on Morton Avenue.
Officer Rivera, assisted by other officers, conducted a high risk traffic stop of the stolen vehicle.
Carrisa Moody, age 20, was the driver and sole occupant. Ms. Moody was taken into custody without incident.
The vehicle was originally reported stolen from the Bakersfield area and was a complete recovery.
Additional unrelated stolen property was located inside the stolen vehicle during the investigation.
Ms. Moody was transported to the Tulare County Sheriffs - Bob Wiley Detention Facility - for housing on charges of grand theft auto and possession of stolen property.
