On 07-18-08 at approximately 0930hrs Officer Orique responded to 276 N. Larson, regarding a stolen vehicle, and met with the victim, Elisa Montes.
Montes said her grandson, Eddie Villegas (3/02/90), took her tan colored, 1990 Nissan Maxima, without permission, from her residence. At approximately 1715 hours, Officer Gong was driving in the area of Morton and Cottage, when he observed the stolen vehicle travel southbound onto Cottage from Morton.
Officer Gong initiated a high risk stop and detained three occupants, one of which was Villegas who was driving. After processing, Villegas was booked into the Tulare County Jail and a passenger, identified as Omar Ventura (05-23-92) was booked into Juvenile Hall.
The third passenger was released without charges.
