Assault with a Deadly Weapon leads to Domestic Violence

On April 27, 2008, at approximately 8:09 p.m. officers responded to a residence in the city of Porterville in response to 911 calls that a male subject was reporting to have been stabbed.

When officers arrived on scene they found the victim suffering from a single stab wound to his back. The victim was transported by ambulance to Sierra View District Hospital where he was treated and subsequently released.

Investigation identified Shara Norton as the suspect responsible. She was taken into custody and subsequently booked at the Bob Wiley Detention Facility on charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Domestic Violence.
