On April 24, 2008 at approximately 8:30 AM, Porterville Police officers responded to the 1100 block of West Putnam Avenue for a follow-up investigation. Officer arrived and arrested Edurado Martinez on an unrelated case. Patrol officers contacted detectives after having suspicions of narcotics being sold from the residence. Detectives obtained and served a search warrant at the location.

The illegal narcotics had a street value in excess of $2,000. Detectives also located an undetermined amount of U.S. currency, scales, packaging materials, cutting agents and other evidence indicating a conspiracy to sell, transport and distribute crystal methamphetamine and heroin.
