On March 3, 2009, at approximately 11:00 AM, Detectives with the Porterville Police Department’s Special Investigations Unit (S.I.U.) responded to Visalia to conduct surveillance and arrest of the second suspect who was identified in an attempt homicide, which occurred on February 8, 2009.
The suspect, Cesar Rodriguez, was located and arrested without incident. Subsequently, detectives served two search warrants at locations in Visalia and Porterville, California.
During the search, investigators located possible forensic evidence, and several items of clothing believed to be instrumental items of evidence linking the suspect to the crimes listed above on the night of occurrence.
Cesar Rodriguez was arrested for Attempted Murder, Conspiracy to Commit Murder, Carjacking, and Participation in a Criminal Street Gang.
Rodriguez was booked at the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department and is being held in lieu of a $2,000,000.00 bail.
