On February 8, 2009, at approximately 5:30 a.m., a 22 year old male was confronted by three male suspects in the 1200 block of West Henderson Avenue.
One of the three suspects simulated a weapon and demanded the victim’s wallet. After obtaining the victim’s wallet the three suspects fled the area.
Investigation into this incident by patrol personnel identified the suspect vehicle as an older model blue Chevrolet step-side pickup. Porterville Police Officer Jeremy Painter located the described suspect vehicle in the 1400 block of North Atkins.
Further investigation identified Jeffrey Carrol and Irving Ruan as two of the three suspects responsible for the robbery. Both Carrol and Ruan were taken into custody without incident and were booked with the Tulare County Sheriff’s Department.
The case is currently under investigation by the Porterville Police Department’s General Investigations Unit.
