On 1/28/09, Officers of the Porterville Police Department responded to Sierra View District Hospital, regarding a subject seeking medical treatment for an assault.
Upon arrival, Officers initiated their investigation and contacted the two victims. During the investigation, Officers discovered Toledo and Martinez were contacted by two unknown suspects while standing in front of a residence in the 900 block of South Jaye Street.
One of the suspects was in possession of a baseball bat and proceeded to strike both victims, causing minor injuries.
Also during the incident, one of the suspects damaged Toledo’s vehicle and afterwards, both suspects fled the area on foot.
Toledo was treated for his injuries and was released from the hospital. The case remains under investigation.
