On January 23, 2009 at approximately 10:00 p.m. officers from the Porterville Police Department were dispatched to the 400 block of South “E” Street, Porterville, regarding an assault that had just occurred. Upon arrival, a confidential victim was contacted.
The victim reported she was assaulted by Mr. Barnes and sustained an injury. The victim sustained a minor injury to a hand. The victim declined medical treatment.
Mr. Barnes was located at a nearby residence and taken into custody without incident. Mr. Barnes was also found to have two felony and two misdemeanor warrants for his arrest.
Mr. Barnes was subsequently lodged at Main Jail on a felony charge of domestic violence and the outstanding arrest warrants.
