On Sunday, January 11, 2009, at approximately 7:49 a.m. Officer Miller conducted a traffic stop in the area of Henderson Avenue and Second Street.
The driver, Luis Lopez, was contacted and provided a false name. Mr. Lopez was arrested and his true identity was established.
Mr. Lopez was transported to the Porterville Police Department for booking.
During the booking process Mr. Lopez was found to possess a useable amount of suspected Heroin.
Mr. Lopez was transported to the Tulare County Sheriff Department, Porterville Sub-Station, where he was booked for charges of 11352 HS-Transportation of a Specified Controlled Substance; and 148.9 PC-Providing a False Name to a Peace Officer.
