On January 9, 2009 at approximately 2:00 a.m. officers were dispatched to an address in the 300 block of East Olivewood Court, Porterville, regarding an assault that had just occurred.
A confidential victim, three juveniles, and Ramiro Ruiz were contacted.
The investigation revealed the victim had been assaulted by Mr. Ruiz.
The victim sustained minor injuries that did not require medical attention. One of the children at the scene was also assaulted by Mr. Ruiz. The child sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.
Mr. Ruiz was arrested at the scene. Mr. Ruiz was booked into Tulare County Jail on a felony charge of domestic violence, child abuse, and resisting arrest.
