On 1/4/09 at approximately 0255 hours, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of North Lowery Street, Porterville, regarding a man with a gun.
When officers arrived, Gerardo Madrigal was contacted in the roadway. Mr. Madrigal was combative with officers. Mr. Madrigal was taken into custody at the scene.
The investigation revealed the incident was a verbal altercation between neighbors that escalated into criminal threats.
As a result of the investigation, Mr. Cervantes was arrested on a felony charge of criminal threats. Mr. Cervantes was booked into Tulare County Jail.
Mr. Madrigal also displayed the objective symptoms of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Mr. Madrigal was booked into Tulare County Jail on one felony charge of resisting a police officer with violence and one misdemeanor charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
