The County of Tulare "No Homeowner Left Behind" program in conjunction with the City of Porterville "First Time Home Buyer Program" Fair was a success. More than 20 families were serviced that day.
Families in attendance were informed via classes on about what to look for and avoid unscrupulous lending practices by the County of Tulare District Attorney's Office and the same were also updated on the new tax laws.
Also, in attendance were representatives who gave classes from title, escrow and insurance companies to inform families on the benefits/information {table} that they have available to offer for the consumer.
As these programs/Fairs continue in the County of Tulare, the consumer/population will be better informed of all these benefits.
Good News!!, per the title representative in attendance did mentioned that during the past 2 weeks foreclosures have slowed down possibly due to lenders not wanting to have/maintain properties on their hands and are working with the homeowners in regards to restructuring the type of financing the homeowner has in place to a more feasible one so that the homeowners can stay and not lose their homes.
