The Post, in the new few weeks, will be looking for new writers, columnists and reporters. We understand the need for new writers to have the chance of starting a new career and we'd like to offer a free internship at the Post.
PORTERVILLE, CA -- Since June of 2008, the Post was sent information to reseach regarding Comprehensive Annual Finacial Reports or CAFR's for short. {2006 CalPers Report PDF} Basically, according to Mr. Walter Burien, the Government has been running a shell game - a second set of books, kinda like the old truck drivers use to do years ago ... one for the cops that pulled them over and one for his boss, showing the real time spent on the road. As it stands right now, those in govenrment positions who know and understand these second set of CAFR books rarely disclose to the public what they actually represent. Hopefully our researchers {Kris / Jess / Annie} will do additional follow-up on this information and get back to the Post so we can share it with our readers.
