1294 : THE PAPER BOY : Part XXIV
Seeking Peace not War
There Is No Such Thing As A Safe Space ~ Not Even In Prison !!!
Safe Spaces by the progressive definition are places where you hide from the world and think you’re protected but are more aptly described as places to brood and lie to yourself about things so you refuse to cope with in the world. In fact one could argue it becomes a prison of the mind.
Safe spaces grow and grow until the safe spaces destroy truth.
We live in a free country & when you make war on truth you destroy freedom.
Reminds me of the kid’s book about the dragon under the bed. If the dragon under the bed is continually dismissed as fantasy, it grows bigger and bigger over time. Finally after years of neglect and ignoring the dragon it gets so big that it eats the house.
The Values of The Paper Boy generation were American Values
The values of the paper boy generation were American Values where we treated all spaces as safe spaces and most everyone defended the truth. The false premise created that depicts America “the Land of the free and the home of the brave” as an evil, racist, mean country that steals resources and was founded on discrimination it patently false. Progressives are at war with our own country and poisoning our culture with anti-American studies deceptively classified as social studies.
The strange thing I noticed recently is that progressives call American patriots fascists? WTH?
The content that was consumed in my generation was optimistic and TV programs modeled morality and ethics grounded in Christian Values. School house rock was created by Disney. Go figure? Parents and kids could talk about the programs and learn together other perspectives on ethics and morality. Programming was more positive and not extreme or anti American like it is today. The paper boy had to go out to the playground to hear profanity because it was not on TV.
The safe space was at home. The safe space was at church.
The home of the brave meant that the whole country was considered a safe space when we adhere to the rule of law and seek peace. The police were our friends growing up and we did not call them law enforcement we called the peace officers.
The biggest problem we face today is the destruction of the innocence of children. Television programming, the internet and now even school curriculum bring dragons into our homes. When we invite dragons into our lives through school curriculum it is a tragedy of biblical importance.
The current “my truth” generation is a full embrace of moral relativism.
Temptation has lost all control when it destroys the innocence of children. Optimism wanes as it is replaced with fear and pessimism. Why do our college campuses have free speech zones? Isn’t the whole country a free speech zone? Why are so many obsessed with censorship that leads to dictatorship? Privacy is supposed to be for people not government. Democracy dies in the darkness of censorship and lack of transparency and candor.
~ The Worst Abusers of Truth Today Are The Legacy Media ~
The worst abusers of truth today are the legacy media and easy access to the internet that politicizes everything. Content today is aimed directly at the next generation stealing the innocence of our children. Age appropriate content is no longer even discussed as moral relativism takes hold in our culture as our legacy media politicizes everything. The central planning ideologies that promote the ism’s and work to control the narrative are the real threat to free speech and freedom. The decline of western civilization is here and we need to protect the innocence of children to arrest the fall.
We must all work together to count our blessings to restore optimism and common sense in the next generation. The war on truth went from spin to outright lies. The simple truth: misinformation and disinformation are at best incomplete and at worst outright lies used by media. Those terms are used to undermine the truth to promote an agenda. People get to make up their own minds in America.
The people are sick and tired of the legacy media lies.
In the old days programming pushed the limits at night when kids were presumed asleep. Most TV channels signed off at midnight. The sign offs were patriotic. A blaring test pattern and load noise came on to wake you up and turn off the TV so you would go to bed and then to work the next day. TV was an escape and replaced reading and we all know too much TV rots your brain and here we are. When TV dinners arrived it wreaked havoc on all of us as it displaced the family dinner discussion over time. As time passed cooking was replaced with fast food and then our health was destroyed.
Something else changed that we should compare and contrast.
In the era of the paper boy in the 1970’s the rate of obesity was around 3%. Fast forward to the 2000’s and the rate of obesity is about 30% and increasing. I read some excellent books recently about diet and health that also make the claim that what we eat is the main difference not what kind of calories we consumed.
The whole “healthcare” industry is still counting calories and steps and we get fatter every year.
When we were growing up we didn’t even care about calories or steps. Today that is what everyone focuses on and we find ourselves in an obesity epidemic. A tenfold increase in obesity compared to the 1970’s. Conclusion: EAT REAL FOOD.
~ I SEE A PATTERN ~
Once we declared war on drugs we got more drugs everywhere
I see a pattern. Once we declared war on drugs we got more drugs everywhere. Once we declared war on diabetes we have increased diabetes ever since. Once we declared war on obesity we became fatter than ever before. Once we declared war on bullying we manufactured more bullies who use victimhood to bully us all. We declared war on teen pregnancy then began to sexualize our children and destroy innocence. We declared war on pollution and created more pollution.
Let’s stop declaring war and instead seek solutions and peace.
We need to humble ourselves and turn back to the cannon of western civilization and read the original instructions. In our zeal and vanity we have destroyed western civilization pursuing our own wills and special interests. We would be well served with some humble pie and repentance so we can recover form from the embrace of base temptations that have led us astray.
Let’s turn back to Christ and his will that is optimism and peace and hope through grace.
Let’s return to protecting the innocence of children with optimism based on true ethics & morality.
We must reject moral relativism outright.
We need to restore the optimism that comes from overcoming evil with good by doing good.
Good is not defined by man good is defined in the good book.
Pursuing peace not war is doing good.
In This Season of Thanksgiving Let’s Count Our Blessings.
In this season of Thanksgiving let’s take stock of the origins of Thanksgiving.
Read George Washington’s Thanksgiving proclamation to your family and be thankful that we live in America the land of the free because of the brave.
Let’s find some quiet silent time to reflect on where we are today.
Let’s focus on the Family again.
God is more important than Family.
Family is more important than government.
We the People are the government.
Let’s pause & reflect on all of those that have gone before us with grace & charity. All gave some and some gave all throughout history & we cannot take this for granted.
America has always sought peace when it is at its best.
