What Jesus said in († Luke 21:25-28) and things spoken about in other places is why we are addressing the many controversial things we began talking about in part one.
Things are going to be seen with the eyes, events will happen that will be so astounding that some won’t believe their eyes, and situations will happen without any warning that are so life-threatening and shocking that some will literally be scared to death.
Listen :
This series of teachings are to inform you about those things that can terrify the unprepared—and 99% will be! But if you know about these things ahead of time, even if you find these things hard to believe now, when they come to pass you can (by your foreknowledge and your faith in God) only be temporarily surprised but not be terrified as others will be.
As the old adage goes: “To be forewarned is to be forearmed!”
Terrified: To be driven into a state of extreme fear; to be so scared that you can hardly move or make a sound. [A person can become terrified in 2 ways: by an actual event or it becomes one’s state of mind by profound worrying about what might happen or is about to happen.]
Angels can walk among us (and do) and we usually will not know it—both God’s holy angels as well as fallen angels, those angels that rebelled with Lucifer ha Satan and were exiled from Heaven. Some examples from the Word that give us understanding are these:
As I briefly mentioned in part 1, no matter what others say, angels cannot be killed—but the bad ones (the fallen angels) can be resisted, thwarted in their efforts, and driven away by our God-given faith in and use of the Name of Jesus, and by declaring the power of the shed blood of Christ against them.
Believers in these last days need to know this and to also understand that each one of us, no matter our spiritual age or experience, have what we need to withstand those entities by the Holy Ghost within and by our faith in God and His Word. What does the Word say about this?
Now we are going to come back to the issue of fallen angels and how they are going to openly (in physical form) deceive the populations of the world soon but in these next few minutes we will talk some about the fallen angels foot-soldiers known as demons.
Consider the fallen angels as the officers in the various ranks needed in a military force († Ephesians 6:12For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.) and the demons as the enlisted ranks doing most of the on-the-ground fighting and killing († John 10:10The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy...).
Fallen angels are not demons and demons are not fallen angels although the vast armies of demons do have military-type ranks of their own. There are weaker ones and stronger ones but all are subject to the Name of Jesus having also been completely defeated by the Lord at the cross and by His shed blood.
If demons are not fallen angels then where did they come from? Our present King James Version Bible does not tell us but another set of writings that were at least commonly read by the Jews and even quoted once for sure in our present KJV New Testament with possible other references as well does tell us; that “another set of writings” is known as The Book of Enoch.
Now although the Book of Enoch is not part of our Bible, its contents were read and studied and considered worthwhile to be familiar with by different Jewish and non-Jewish groups from before Jesus and afterwards as well.
According to some historians, that book was also provided as an included side publication along with the original KJV Bible to be a study reference to things contained in that 1611 Authorized 66-book version of our present Bible.
It is in the Book of Enoch especially (but the issue is also mentioned in the ancient Book of Giants and the Book of Jubilees) that we can understand where demons came from (aka: unclean spirits, evil spirits, foul spirits). From those sources it is revealed that demons spirits arethe spirits of dead giants.
From the Book of Enoch 15:8-10. Now the giants, who have been born of spirit and of flesh, shall be called upon earth evil spirits, and on earth shall be their habitation. Evil spirits shall proceed from their flesh, because they were created from above; from the holy Watchers was their beginning and primary foundation. Evil spirits shall they be upon earth, and the spirits of the wicked shall they be called. The habitation of the spirits of heaven shall be in heaven; but upon earth shall be the habitation of terrestrial spirits, who are born on earth. 9. The spirits of the giants shall be like clouds, which shall oppress, corrupt, fall, contend, and bruise upon earth. 10. They shall cause lamentation. No food shall they eat; and they shall be thirsty…
If these things are true, and I believe they are, is it then any wonder how that many persons that have a demon or demons are so supernaturally strong? Is that what Jesus was helping us to understand about evil spirits—that they are the disembodied spirits of dead giants when he referred to a “strong man that lives in a house but can be overpowered and thrown out?”
We began this part two reading the passage where Jesus said that at some point during these last days “Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken” (agitated, rocked, toppled, even destroyed).
Was Jesus referring to the powers of heaven that are natural in our solar system and galaxy and the universe and—or the powers of heaven that are spiritual powers, such as we have begun to discuss?
As you continue to listen through this series you will gather a good understanding of what these kinds of things to come are about, which will help your mind and your heart to remain calm and not be terrified.
