David Seppi Introduction :
Mr. Seppi is the son of Italian immigrants, learned English in school. My father was a toiling coal miner in the dangerous 1920s to 1950s. I was raised to be an athlete watching football and boxing from childhood. I went on to play football at UC Berkeley and was second team all-coast one year. I also had a career in amateur boxing.
After those years I became a Christian and things were different. I got a teaching job in Pixley and something wonderful happened ... a woman. I was blessed to marry Esther Stoops, a girl from Visalia. The Lord gave us seven children whom we home-schooled. In the middle of it all we built a big house.
I have learned that man was created to eat a plant-based diet, so for 25 years we have eaten mostly vegan (adding necessary B-12 supplements). We do relax and celebrate with all foods occasionally. Regular exercise by running and lifting are part of my hope to live to be 100 and healthy.
Politically, I believe the essence of freedom is man governing himself under the word of God, therefore a limited civil government. This leads to marvelous widespread prosperity. Since war is used to increase control over citizens, I am anti-war under all circumstances except invasion. So I am an anti-statist, pro-market, anti-war person.
Retiring after 30 years in the classroom of fifth and sixth graders, I am now a laborer in our family bee business. I have a passion to learn, love reading, listening to people talk about their family histories, studying history and learning about the Lord God.
