Muster RIGHT Here - with Sgt Mack Stand at EASE!!!

Once, again, we need to pray for guidance, for those elected EMPLOYEES, who may go (or HAVE GONE) astray. Remember that power tends to corrupt and absolute power tends to corrupt, absolutely.

We see it, every day, in the misuse of the awesome power of the government, in washington, the district of criminals, in sacramento, the district of criminals (left coast) in our local court system, when they (either by ignorance, laziness or design) corrupt the laws by which THEY are supposed to abide and in all facets of our daily lives, when elected EMPLOYEES over-step their authority (LOANED to them, by the consent of the governed) and commit acts that any intelligent individual SHOULD know are unethical, if not illegal, but just, plain WRONG!!! Let us pray!

Un-COVER!!! Silent prayer or meditation/contemplation.

In Jesus' Name I pray! HOOAAHHH!!! COVER!!!

IS Something Rotten in the State of california, County of Tulare, City of Porterville ?

The Editor tasked me to construct a class on this subject and I have been wrestling with the way to approach it, recognizing both the tendency of people to be corrupted by power AND the NECESSITY to keep in mind that all persons are (at least in OUR eyes, unlike some of the court jurisdictions [who practice juris-lack-of-prudence]) innocent until PROVEN guilty.

That said, it does behoove elected EMPLOYEES to conduct their fiduciary duties in an ethical and open manner and to be willing to DEMONSTRATE that they have done so. Their conduct and records should be an "open book" and ready for inspection or audit 24/7.

While a defendant in a criminal trial has no burden of proof, those who are honored with the public trust need to perform to a higher standard. They need to ASSUME the burden of proof, in the daily conduct of their office and be ready to defend their actions and decisions, not with legal maneuvering and obfuscation but by transparency and proven ethical conduct.

There have been some questions raised, regarding the Porterville Unified School District's compensation for the Board of Trustees.

A reasonable person would tend to opine that compensation, if any (other than reimbursement for out-of-pocket expenses) should be in keeping with the economic situation of the area in which they serve, which is decidedly less than healthy.

An honorable person should look at the economic situation and do their utmost to be part of the solution, rather than the problem.

I have seen reserve unit Officers and NCOs determine that the unit needed something and that it was not available through channels, either because of budget constraints or because higher echelon did not see the need.

In response, the local command structure would go into their (often) "Shallow Pockets" to provide it to the troops, even though such action my be TECHNICALLY against regulations.

Just because a body may have a legal power to vote itself "perqs" that doesn't create an imperative to DO so.

So, the bottom line is ethical conduct and transparency.

If the PUSD Board has clean skirts (and I hope they do) they need to "step up" and open their books (which, as a public entity, SHOULD be open) and be responsive to public inquiry.

If they have allowed themselves to be seduced by the "Dark Side" and have strayed, the quicker they "fess up" and make it right, the quicker we can all get back to our mundane lives and let them go back to theirs.

I urge ALL concerned citizens to contact the PUSD Board and inform them of your support in helping them sift through the questions and arriving at the truth and a possible course of action to rectify any problems, but GET INVOLVED!!! Be there, at the 10 May '12 meeting and be ready to work it out.

Request the past agendas, minutes and financial records, roll up your sleeves and be an active employer, for these folks. Let them know that you will be supervising them, so that they can stay on the "straight & narrow".

Remember, despite the Bravo Sierra that has been shoveled out by congress, very little that has been done, cannot be UNDONE.

Some bright (?) individual, there, came up with a plan to make the "obamacare" package irreversable. (In spite of MASSIVE public disapproval.) Well, that ol' dog don't hunt. If it can be enacted, it can be UN-enacted.

So, hang in there & (if there is a mess) YOU can straighten it out. It is in YOUR best interest and that of the STUDENTS, YOUR KIDS!!!

Un-COVER!!!

Again, Father, we come to You with a possible mess, secure in the faith that YOU can handle it. We ask for Your wisdom and guidance, that we find the truth and temper justice with mercy. We ask that You protect our guardians and send them home safely and help us to make America the Shining "City on the Hill." In all things I thank and praise You and, especially, I thank You for the Gift and Sacrifice of Your son, Jesus Christ, in Whose Name I pray, HOOAAHHH!!!

COVER!!! Dis-MISSED!!!

Sgt. Mack, out. Closing station & leaving the air.
